“Project H2O”
April 20th, 2007 by John Hok
So there is this HUGE thing I’ve been working on for one of my most popular sites that I run called: Imusion Studio. This has been one of my most meaningful sites and stable both in terms of traffic and income. Right now over 60% of the traffic is purely organic and it averages over 3000 unique hits a day. What this means is over 60% of those 3000 visitors come to the site through search engine traffic.
Anyways, the project I’ve been working on for the site is called “H2O” and to sum it up in one sentence. H2O can be thought of as a MySpace or Facebook specifically targeted for webmasters and web designers. On the surface this might seem like “just another one of many copycat social networks” but I’m promising that this will not be “just another one”. Along with many of the normal “features” you would expect from a social networking site, we have also added many more features targeted specifically for webmasters and web designers. Combining the latest trends and technologies to put it all in one very intuitive and innovative interface for our users.
I have been working on this since early October 2006 and it is just now that we are entering our Alpha testing stage. That being said, we are giving away 2 Alpha accounts and you can try your chance at getting one by going here and signing up for our newsletter.
Oh, and since I appreciate those who do come and visit my blog. I have decided to give all of you an EXCLUSIVE screenshot of our homepage that is in progress. Nobody except me have seen these that is including my staff as well. Absolutely nobody but me has been given any previews of these until now. So enjoy the teaser screenshot!
